Join our young and dynamic team! adelphi is expanding its business activities and looking for experienced independent monitoring experts to assess individual projects from a technical, financial and administrative point of view in one (or more) of the following key thematic areas: (1) Air quality and emissions in urban environments, (2) Access to markets and business development, (2) Chemicals, (3) Climate change adaptation, (4) Climate governance and information, (5) Climate change mitigation, (6) Communication tools and methods, (7) Decentralised thematic networks, (8) Effective control processes, (9) Environment and health, (10) Forestry, (11) Green and circular economy, (12) Information and communication, (13) Nature biodiversity , (14) Noise pollution, (15) Soil, (16) Waste resource efficiency, (17) Water marine environment. adelphi is a leading independent think tank and public policy consultancy on climate, environment and development.

Monitoring expert (m/f/d) 

in the field of nature and biodiversity (independent)

Your Competencies

  • Project and/or programme monitoring and evaluation skills
  • Experience of communication tools and methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to engage in substantive technical discussions
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Leadership and self-management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sensitivity and adaptability to cultural, gender, religion race, nationality and age

Your Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years, preferably 5 years (or more) of work experience in one (or more) of the key thematic areas mentioned above
  • Previous work experience in project and/or programme management, including various aspects such as financial and project monitoring
  • Previous experience working on EU projects is a distinct advantage
  • A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least 4 years in one (or more) of the key thematic areas listed above
  • An excellent command of English (C1 level of written English and level B2 of spoken English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
  • An excellent command of at least one other official EU language (C1 level of written and spoken)
